So Jay Ram Verma Gandhi of Purvanchal is as important a king in drama of life.
Mr Jai Ram Verma was born in the family of a farmer on 4th Feb 1904 at Baragaon Ibrahimpur Distt- Ambedkar nagar. He got his primary education in rural area. He went to Allahabad university in first division.He was curious to throw the beam of knowledge towards the children who were eager to get education . In 1936 he became a teacher in Hobert High School Tanda and began to spread the light of knowledge . In 1940,he and Mahadev Verma established Ram Bali National Inter College Gosiganj Faizabad, wher he performed and his duty as a Principal and was famous for his Regularity and Punctuality. He was dutiful and honest. He was know as Master Sahab. He was sent to jail in non-Cooperation movement as he had joined cangress party and opposed british rule. Master Sahab was elected MLA form Barabanki for the first time. In 1952 he was elected MLA form Akbarpur and in 1957 form Tanda. He was made Deputy Minister in 1959. In 1962, he was again elected MLA form Tanda and was made Deputy Minister of Finance. Master Sahab was elected MP form Akbarpur in 1980. He was Sent to Jail in 1941 in Personal Satyagrah for 3 months and21 days also punished for Rs-100/. In 1942, Quit-India Movement,he was arrested and sent to jail for three months and 15 days. He got person from thecentral and state government for being freedom fighter. He was a men of self respect. when master sahab was elected MLA in1967 form Akbarpur, Mr. Chand bhan Gupta became Chief Minister of UP.Though both of them beloned to Congress Party yet they were of different opinion. The opinion of Chandra Bhan Gupta wascapitalism and jai ram verma gandhism. Due to this dissension the Government of Gupta Came into minority on 1st April 1967. The Aim of Master sahab was to develop the status of farmers, labourers and poor man. At that time Chaudhary chran singh who interested for the development of farmers form the west and Master Sahab from the east, meet together and began to wark. In the regime of Chaudhary Chran Singh , Master Sahab became cabinet Minister of Agriculture, Punchayati Rajya, Samudayik Vikash, Sugar cane and sugar department and did inwork honrstly. A memoir of honesty of Master Sahab is presented adout bribery.A owner of Sugar Mill Kanpur came to meet verma ji, but he was not present at his bunglow at that time. The owner of the suger mill left his brief case at his bunglaw and total the watchman to give it to verma ji. When master sahab came back and opened the briefcase,he found that it was full of monery. There was also a letter in it. The owner of the sugar mill was callel. Master Sb. Warned him not to do such blunder in future and returend his briefcase.According to Sardha act under age marriage was stricty prohibiled. Master sahab thought that the marriage before 18year was illegal. At that time it was a custom of under age marriage in Scheduled caste and backward castes. He made an attemt to prevent it. He stepped to ckeck under age marrige not only in his own district but also Sultanpur and Azamgarh. Once he suit filed agained his father-in-law and brother-in-law in this matter. The second memoir of his honestly is that master sahab was always againest wrong man. Once his son-in-law Mr. Paras Nath Verma came to his for the protection of a wramg man. Master Sahab chide him and warned not to accompany the wrang man. Master Sb. Adoped the principle .Brevity is the soul of wit”. He knew it a man speak too much, surly he might be a liar . He was a man of Simple living and high thinking” . He never liked pomp and show . He used to wear khadi. In the struggle for existene he fought like a soldier. Handome in handsome does.Great is he whose services are great. Dear is he whose work is dear. The services and sacrifices of Master Sb. Wear great . We should honor his work and learn his life.
